A Baby Shower for military wives whose husbands were deployed, Whoops, Dr D Gets Freamed
A Baby Shower for Military Wives who were pregnant and their husbands were deployed.
Speech by Dr. Maness
Merchants donated thousands of dollars worth of baby furniture and supplies to the expectant families.
I would like to say Thank You to Passion 4 Kids for organizing the event, arranging the merchant's donations, working with other volunteer organizations to prepare and wrap the donations, setting up the tables and so much more.
Our Military families are the greatest!
A pyramid of diapers to rocking horses, cribs, baby blankets, strollers, and plush animals. WoW, What an event.
Thanks to our service men and women for all they do!
Speech by Dennis Maness, PhD BrainTek Institute
Everyone wants a smart, balanced, well-adjusted child. Unfortunately, very few are born that way. I was born with extreme ADHD and was on the Autism Spectrum. Not a good start, but when I was born multiple decades ago, medical science didn’t have a good handle on what ADHD or Autistic behaviors were. Thank God for strong parents, they had to be or they would have shipped me off with the Gypsies quite early in my life.
Today, thanks to my parents, I have developed a technology that is helping children and adults in four countries, and those numbers are expanding.
What we have learned is your child starts learning in the womb.
Today's program is extracted from our First Steps .Academy programs.
Therefore, if you want a copy of today's speech or more information on giving your child a head start with self-confidence, self-esteem, greater thinking, and logic skills, teaching your infant sign language, and so much more, visit us online.
I have trained and certified over 143 doctors, nurses, therapists, and healthcare professionals in four countries.
Some of our courses are accredited by the University of California, which also helps reinforce my technology's validity.
Our doctors are from Harvard, LSU, UCLA, OSU MD’s and many other fine institutions, such as the Mayo Clinic.
I have worked with Passion 4 Kids, which is well represented here today, for over 10 years and they have seen our work help many of the families they support.
You don’t have to take notes or worry about remembering details of what I have shared with you. Today’s discussion is free for you starting Tuesday at www.IBBI,Life.
Enough about me; now, let's talk about one of my favorite topics, Children and the Brain.
Let’s go on a journey together.
A most wonderful child is born. The challenge is,
But, the benefits are tremendous, provided we properly teach the child.
You will learn today that the best time to teach your child a topic is when that area of the brain has experienced myelination.
Teaching the child logic and how to think can start as early as the third trimester of pregnancy.
I will admit there are times when the child seems to be programming us.
However, there is a balance in the relationship that pays great dividends.
It starts with the brain.
We have a Learning Formula;
A child is born as a natural scientist. They love to do their research and discovery. They quickly develop a wonderful skill we call imagination. The scenes they can create in their mind are endless. Imagination is critical in thinking through challenges. The earlier your child can learn this ability, the sooner they can start developing their self-confidence, self-esteem, and ability to listen and communicate.
You have seen me dress up as children’s happy characters today. and play (therapy games) with them. Why would I do this I am showing you new ways to spark your child’s imagination and creativity. I want them to communicate, I want them to develop their learning capacities.
I will say, we ALL, children through senior citizens, learn more and remember it longer when it comes in story form. We prove this at our website, www.IBBI.Life.
I want you to see ways to inspire and ignite your child’s imagination and teach them to think outside of the box.
There is a difference in telling the child about something creative. Reading them a story about some character to ignite their imagination is another.
It takes it to a whole new level for you and your child to dress up as a character and utilize the five primary senses as you create new and imaginative activities that are out of the box. Your child will never forget the times the two of you dressed up and acted like the characters in their storybooks.
Make learning fun!
In doing so, you are creating a serotonin endorphin release that feels good and does a lot for the brain. When you spark imagination that utilizes the five primary senses, in story form, your child will start making even more connections as they start thinking on their own. That helps them with problem-solving and creativity throughout life.
Your job is to help your child develop their brain to their optimum and it’s easier than you think. Your newborn is anxious to figure out their new life outside of the womb.
Before an Architect starts construction on a new skyscraper, they create a blueprint for what they want to build.
They know the budget and how they want the building to look and behave in all types of weather. Their name is on the line every time someone drives by it, sees it, or steps into its realm. They name the building so the world can get to know it and want it to be something of pride to them because whatever they name it, the Architect’s name will forever be associated with it.
Now, what is the difference between you, your spouse, and the Architect? All of you want the same thing for your creation. The only difference is, they are constructing a building.
You on the other hand, are constructing a human life and preparing him or her to be all they can be, to be successful, to be balanced and successful in life.
How do you do that? It all starts in the brain.
It is not the size of the brain that will make your child brilliant. Nor is it the IQ of a child that makes the child brilliant. It is the number of connections.
What are connections?
You tell your child that Aunt Mable is coming to the house to see them. Your child now wonders, “What is an Aunt.” Many of the children I work with only know an aunt as an ant. Let’s complicate this even more. What is a Mable? What they have is a ‘Dangling Fact’, a road that goes nowhere, a non-connection.
Once they get to know Aunt Mable, they can make the connection. After they have seen her, they associate a face, a gender, a humanoid, a friend, someone who is nice to them, someone who brings them joy and happiness. Now, the fact is no longer dangling. They have made a connection.
Now, we know what a connection is, let’s move on.
One study tells us
In the womb, the child’s brain grows new cells at an average of 250,000 every minute. This explosive growth does not slow down until around age six.
During these periods, we can see the growth of certain lobes and centers of the brain that begin working and making useful connections.
We have shown that a fetus can learn while inside the womb (develop valid behaviors) and display these newfound talents after birth. Not only have we seen this in laboratory rats, but we have also seen it in human babies. Would you like to know how to do this with your child? We will show you for FREE at our website www.IBBI.Life.
The fetal brain is very different than the infant brain which in turn is very different from the adolescent brain, which is very different from the adult brain.
Strauss of the University of Pittsburgh researched infants and came to similar conclusions. He says "Five-month-olds are thinking about quantities and applying numerical concepts to their world.”
Imagine, this all started in the womb.
My point here is your child right now, in the fetal state is developing their brain with such explosive growth. It is a brain that is primed for learning.
You may ask O.K. Dr. D. If the brain is so primed for learning, why are so many children growing up with such simple minds that have learning challenges the moment they are introduced into society?
I’m glad you asked.
Their brains have not been taught, trained, or fed the correct diet.
That is where we are going to teach you how to make your child stand above the average. We are going to show you how to teach your child from day one things like vision, and hearing at month three and supply you with a roadmap to help your child develop into their optimum brain.
Consider the child’s environment. Before a child is born, mom and dad paint and decorate the child’s room in pastel, soft colors.
These colors look great for mom and dad.
What about the baby?
The baby is trying to develop their vision. In this pastel world, everything is blurry. No wonder they want to sleep all the time. Imagine if your world looked that blurry. After a while, the blur is affecting the way you feel and you have to get out of the room.
We hang colorful mobiles across the crib that will play soothing music and perhaps even spin slowly so the parents can enjoy the 3D action of the mobile. The mobile isn’t for the parents. It is to teach the baby eye tracking, contrast, and visual perception. Most of the mobiles are 3D when you look at them from above. Look at the mobile from the bottom. Most of them are NOT 3D to the child observing them from below. Most of them look like thin colored lines moving around above them and if their room is painted in soft pastels, they are even less beneficial to the child.
Before purchasing the mobile, look at it from the bottom and see what the child sees. If only thin lines spin, it’s the wrong mobile for the child’s needs.
You will find many ideas to help you prepare your child’s room at the website www.IBBI.Life.
Let’s talk about communications
Research has shown us that infants through toddlers who show love and affection will develop more myelin than those who do not. Myelin equates to greater connections which equates to a greater IQ.
When the parent shows physical love such as hugs, kisses, and smiles, the child shows a greater production of serotonin which supports proper neural transmission in the brain and the body, a healthy immune response, and GI function. Serotonin is a prerequisite for melatonin which helps with mood, sleep, and appetite.
Want a cranky baby? Ignore them. Want a well-balanced baby? Give them a lot of love and attention.
That also makes them feel wanted, accepted, and a part of the family.
Remember, Newborns learn new behaviors because YOU have programmed them to do these new behaviors. Don’t worry about your teaching skills. Love your child. Come to www.IBBI.Life for a guide through the steps of entraining your child's brain.
Now, Communication with your fetus through toddler is expedient to helping your child grow into the person you want them to be.
Remember, their brain is a clean slate. They learn what they learn through their environment. Keep their environment clean and productive.
What many think of is “that darn baby cries all the time.” That baby is NOT crying. They are trying to communicate.
Listen closely to those sounds. Remember they don’t speak our language and won’t be able to until their brain develops further and they have been taught how to say the words. Meantime it is up to the parents to learn the difference in their sounds.
I am a big fan of teaching your infant to sign. Sign language removes a lot of stress from both you and your child. I still encourage you to get to know the signature of your child's voice.
Your child will make several different sounds. Eventually, they will learn which sounds get your attention to help them with their challenge, whether their challenge is a need to be changed, or they are hungry or in pain, or simply a method of communication. There is also the sound they make when they are happy or fearful.
Remember, they are in a new environment, not in the womb. They were snug, warm, and very close to their mother in the womb. Now, they may be in another room, not so snuggly wrapped, and they are not hearing the sounds they are accustomed to, such as the mother's voice, heartbeat or mother's breathing, internal gurgling, or other sounds they hear in the womb. That can be scary to the newborn. They now have to get used to not being so snug yet secure. Not regularly hearing mothers' voices can also cause insecurity. The more secure they feel while alone, the quicker they adjust to their new environment.
Memory and your new child.
The hippocampus is often called the memory center of the brain. This area is vital to your child's optimum learning, not only in scholastic but emotional learning. Help them develop these areas from day one by showing them acceptance and love. In doing so, they are receiving positive reinforcement which helps them develop positive emotions.
Excite your child's emotions. You have seen me dress up today in several different children’s characters. This inspires and ignites your child’s imagination and teaches them to think inside AND outside of the box.
There is a difference in telling the child about something creative. Reading them a story about some character to ignite their imagination is another.
It takes it to a whole new level for you and your child to dress up as a character and utilize the five primary senses as you create new and imaginative activities that are out of the box.
Make learning fun! In doing so, you are creating a serotonin release that feels good and does a lot for the brain. When you spark imagination that utilizes the five primary senses, your child will start making even more connections as they start thinking on their own. That helps them with problem-solving and creativity throughout life.
If their brain is experiencing intense stress, they revert to the lower brain stem processing, which promotes the fight or flight response. The fight or flight response brings a more intense behavior promoting protectionism, and more aggressive stressful behaviors, which can cause your stress levels to rise. Your stress combined with their stress is not a good or healthy situation.
You will be able to tell the difference in their cry because of the intensity and frequency of their outburst. When this happens, yelling at them, shaking them, or ignoring them only accentuates their fears and insecurities. This is the time to snuggle them and shower them with love and affection, promoting their serotonin production and letting them know they are safe and there is no need to fear.
In closing, I want to personally invite you to our new informative website www.IBBI.Life.
The BrainTek Certification Program is accredited through the University of California to our doctors and health care professionals because it is that good. Our programs are evidenced-based, not based on some theory that has not been proven successful.
Thank you for your time.
